Doubling is also dependent upon what card the dealer is showing, for example, if the dealer has an Ace or face card it's not a good idea. * SPLITTING - When the player recieves 2 like cards in the initial two card deal, he is allowed to split these cards into 2 separate hands. The wager for each hand is equal to the original wager. He can now draw cards for both (using hit when prompted) and stands on each when has reached the amount he wants to stop at. * PUSH - When the dealer and player hands add up to the same amount, this is called a push. When this situation occurs, the hand is considered a tie, and replayed. * NATURAL BLACKJACK - When either the player or the dealer (or both) are dealt an ace and another card with a value of 10 (equaling 21 with two cards) it is called a Natural Blackjack and pays the player 3:2 on his bet (unless the dealer and player have it at the same time - resulting in a push) * INSURANCE - When the dealer is showing an Ace, suggesting he might have a Natural Blackjack, the player can opt to buy insurance at the cost of half his initial wager. By doing this he is essentially betting that the dealer does have blackjack. If it turns out the dealer does not, the player loses the insurance amount and the hand is played out. If the dealer does have blackjack, the insured player recieves a payout of 2:1 on his wager, even though he technically lost the hand.
